Terms of Service (Backflow Test)

Terms of Service

We are excited for the opportunity to serve you! Please take a minute to read and understand the following terms before moving forward.

First, here is a couple quick definitions:

"Customer" - the person who has chosen to schedule this service, or whoever is the billing contact for this service.

"DBT" - Deschutes Backflow Testing, and its members.

"Backflow Test" - The process of testing a backflow prevention assembly, and filing of the test report, as per current state law.

(Read more about what defines Backflow Testing HERE)

Customer understands that the service being provided is the testing of the assembly itself only. Customer agrees to pay the testing fee, regardless of result.

DBT agrees to do everything in their power to provide accurate test results, including properly calibrated equipment, tester training and experience.

If customer is concerned about the results, they agree to contact DBT directly before hiring additional testers. (DBT is happy to explain results as well as test assemblies with the customer on site, so they can see results in real time).

Customer will not hold DBT responsible for the damage of assemblies that are found with preexisting rust or wear. DBT agrees to take every precaution to ensure an assembly is usable before attempting to operate any moving part.

Customer understands that a DBT employee will need access to their property, wherever the backflow assembly is located. (If the assembly is located behind a gate, and Customer has not given prior permission to enter, DBT will not be able to complete the test until permission is given)

Customer understands that their backflow assembly will be left exactly as it was found before testing began (if the water was off before testing began, it will be left off after testing is completed, etc)

Customer understands that all invoices are due within 30 days of invoice date. All terms are listed clearly on each invoice sent.

Customer understands that DBT does not currently offer testing of any backflow assemblies connection to fire supression systems. DBT is happy to make recommendations in this area, however, upon request.

These terms are subject to change at any time, and will remain available to customer HERE for review at all times.
