It's never good news when you hear your backflow needs to be replaced. Luckily with DBT, though, it means you'll end up with an installation to last you for years and years to come!
Plumbing code is in place to keep your assembly testable and repairable, keep it from rusting, and keep your water safe. So if installed correctly, your backflow will be good to go for a very long time! Unfortunately many are not installed correctly, making them wear faster and break over time. So if you are replacing an assembly or installing one, make sure it's done right!
