Terms Of Service – Activation

TERMS OF SERVICE

We are excited for the opportunity to serve you! Please take a minute to read and understand the following terms before moving forward.

First, here is a couple quick definitions:

"Customer" - the person who has chosen to schedule this service, or whoever is the billing contact for this service.

"DBT" - Deschutes Backflow Testing, and its members.

"Irrigation Activation" - The process of turning on the main water supply, checking for any leaks or damage at the valves, running through each zone to make any minor adjustments needed, programming the irrigation timer, and flagging any repairs needed.

Customer understands that the service being provided is the activation of the irrigation system only, not the fall winterization of the irrigation system, or testing of the backflow assembly.

Customer understands that if irrigation repairs are found to be needed upon activation of the system, they are completed on a time and materials basis, and scheduled for a later date.

DBT agrees to maintain proper licensing, insurance and bonding at all times that services are provided. OLCB #9262

Customer will not hold DBT responsible for the damage of irrigation systems that are found with preexisting damage or wear, or irrigation systems that are not installed up to industry standards. Industry standards include, but are not limited to: a working isolation valve installed at mainline depth, and a backflow assembly installed below frost depth, with working shut offs.

Customer understands that if there is no cross connection control in place on their irrigation system (a double check backflow assembly at the point of use), DBT employees may use their discretion on if they will activate the system or not. DBT will notify the Customer immediately if the activation was not completed as scheduled, to discuss options moving forward.

Customer agrees not to hold DBT liable for any cross contamination that may occur from an irrigation activation, if their irrigation system is found without a working backflow assembly.

Customer understands that a DBT member will need access to the entire exterior of their property, and the irrigation timer. (If there are gates on the property, or access to the timer is necessary, and Customer has not given prior permission to enter, DBT will not be able to complete the winterization until permission is given)

Customer understands that all invoices are due within 30 days of invoice date. All terms are listed clearly on each invoice sent.

These terms are subject to change at any time, and will remain available to customer HERE for review at all times.
